It is about Creativity in Design. The Scope of a Project may be similar to another, however no two sites are the same. It is about understanding and relating to the site, context of surroundings, proposed architectural style, and built environment, to develop 'The Place'. It is about creating distinctive Places. It is about beginning every project with hand, pen, and paper, to freely express ideas that ultimately lead to the desired solution.
It is about Quality of Work. Accuracy in applying required codes and regulations to design development, and more importantly, technical documents, is imperative to every project. It is about getting the job done, and getting it done right. It is about taking the time for Quality Control. It is about more than 42 years of experience and knowledge understanding this.
Established in 2008, ViZ is a Licensed Professional LLC Landscape Architecture Firm located in Cornelius, North Carolina. ViZ is a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Certified by the City of Charlotte, North Carolina, and the North Carolina State Department of Administration.
Gary R. Fankhauser, ASLA
Gary is a Registered Landscape Architect Licensed in NC, SC, GA, VA, OH, TN, TX, NM, KY, AR, and PA. He is a 1982 summa cum laude graduate of The Ohio State University with a BS in Landscape Architecture. His 42 years of experience includes Projects located throughout the United States that range in scale from 1/8 acre Urban Plazas to 5,000 acre State Parks.
